About

I am a London based artist, working in sound art, digital imagery, textile art and design.  My interest is the processes of copying, reproduction, multiplication and translation.  My practice is process driven, and I often aim to use technology and software not as they are intended – making art, for example, using photocopiers or Microsoft Excel.  My curiosity is toward the unexpected – mistakes, errors, and glitches – and interruptions to replicated image or sound, particularly those resulting from human error when working with machines or technologies.  Through repetitive process I seek to push representational language or imagery toward abstraction (or vice versa), which may involve pushing technologies to the limits of breaking.  In some ways, I see visual or audio degradation as process, revealing potentials in ‘noise’ and ‘distortion’ as chance abstractions.

I have exhibited in several group shows since 2014.  My work is held in private collections in the UK and in Europe.
